I'm not an economist, and I've hardly done any research on this... but I think it is increasingly obvious we are in a recession. Not a small hiccup the experts tell us about 6 months after the fact, but something more and ongoing. 2008 levels? I don't know.
I hope I'm wrong or at least that it is not severe.
One might say "obviously, because of covid, supply chain, and inflation." Well yes, obviously. But those were issues months ago and we were only hearing about a possible recession, with others still talking about a recovery.
Might be a good idea to hedge.
