Freudian slip of the day

To be fair, it may not be a Freudian slip. It could just be Mika saying what she (and probably a good many of "they") consciously thinks, no pretense about it.

Incitement?

Excuse me, I'm trying to find the video of Trump inciting the riots. 

While I don't doubt Trump is capable of such, and wouldn't be surprised if he did in fact start the riot with a poor choice of words, I am having trouble finding the video of him using language slightly more specific than platitudinous schlock, and at least half as damning as what many, many antifa sympathizers (a lot of which hold office) had to say this past summer.

The president should be held to a higher standard. And Trump falls far short daily when it comes to word-choice and rhetoric. No "buts" here, except this one: every citizen deserves the same due process. Incitement is one of few asterisks to the first amendment, and proving it requires (or should require) a lot more than a mob.

All I could find so far was a short CNN clip where the worst thing I found Trump saying was to "show strength and be strong" which was preceded by images of the rioting--labelled an insurrection--and followed by snarky narration of judgment damning Trump--objective reporting there, top marks.

ABC's Brian Ross fakes Toyota acceleration test

Yes, really. As if the collective pile-on of Toyota wasn't bad enough, ABC decides to throw in a few cheap shots while the getting's good. Toyota has its problems, but this demonizing of business is anything but helpful right now. I think too many of the left-leaning political class and establishment media are misinterpreting public anger as primarily against business. There is some of that, but they're missing the forest for the trees.

The lame-stream media, doing the job anybody else could do, only worse. From Gawker:

...the dashboard lights indicate that the car's doors are open and its parking brake is on. The first shot shows the tachometer beginning at below 1,000 RPMs—or idling speed, as opposed to the 20 mph that Ross said he was driving when the acceleration began. On the right of the images, the speedometer appears to show a reading of zero miles per hour. And to top it all off, the transmission indicator shows that the car is in park. In other words, Ross took footage of a parked Toyota's RPMs taking off and falsely portrayed the shot as having taken place while he was driving the car.
